Western Jet, now part of StandardAero, provides engine and component training and repair services for commercial, business, and military aircraft including airplanes and helicopters. This property is a 157k sq ft facility, located just off the main runway at the Van Nuys Airport with a large hangar space for aircraft maintenance and repair as well as office space and a 276 space parking lot for employees, trainees, and guests.
Project Information
Western Jet approached Chargie and sister company PCS Energy for the installation of EV charging stations and commercial solar panels. Western Jet has multiple employees as well as guests and clients who own EVs and wanted to provide them with fast and reliable charging on-site. Through the LADWP Charge Up LA program, Chargie was able to secure funding for the purchase and installation of 40 level 2 EV charging stations. Chargie handled all the design, engineering, permitting and installation and is now responsible for ongoing management and 24/7 customer support.
