Chargie's platform is now FedRAMP® Authorized by the U.S. General Services Administration.
Everything you need to know about charging on Chargie’s industry leading EV charging network. From the basics of EV charging to what makes charging with Chargie a seamless experience.
There are 3 levels of electric vehicle charging stations, all with varying charging speeds: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (DC fast charging). Charging speed is determined by the number of kilowatts (kW) a charging station can provide per hour (kWh).
Load management or load sharing happens when several EV charging stations, or clusters of stations, share power. Power is divided as more EVs on a cluster start charging and then is redistributed back as EVs finish.
Load sharing clusters can range from groups of 2 to 4 chargers sharing power.
We make charging your car as routine as charging your phone—even in low-signal environments.
No device? No problem. At select stations, you can get started in other ways.
The Chargie app gives you full insights into your EV charging. Start, stop, and monitor your charging sessions from anywhere.
Level 2 charger
Our Level 2 chargers support the J1772 (J plug) standard which is compatible with all North American vehicles. Tesla drivers can charge on Level 2 chargers using the J plug adapter that comes included with their vehicle.
Level 3 charger
Our Level 3 fast chargers provide both CSS and CHAdeMO plugs on every station. Tesla drivers will need an adapter for either CSS or CHAdeMO, which is not included with their vehicle, to charge on a Level 3 fast charging station.
No need to reserve a charger in order to use it. However, chargers in some locations may be assigned to a specific driver or parking space.
No problem, the process to start a charge is the same. Plug in your vehicle and scan the QR code. Keep the app open – we’ll queue your request and start your charge as soon as your device is back online.
If you don’t want to create a Chargie account, you can checkout as a guest.
You can start a charge with or without the Chargie mobile app.
