How do I start charging?

You can start a charge with or without the Chargie mobile app.

On your phone with the Chargie app

  1. Plug in your vehicle
  2. Scan the station’s QR code using the Chargie app
  3. Choose to checkout as a guest or create an account
  4. Provide contact information and a payment method
  5. Receive session updates in the app or via SMS

On your phone without the Chargie app

  1. Plug in your vehicle
  2. Scan the station’s QR code using your phone’s built-in camera
  3. Provide contact information and a payment method
  4. Receive session updates via SMS

With a credit card reader

Some of our stations come equipped with credit card readers.

  1. Plug in your vehicle
  2. Tap, swipe, or insert payment method
  3. Press “Start”

With an RFID tag

If you have been issued an RFID tag by your property management, you may start a session on stations that support RFIDs. Look for the RFID symbol.

  1. Download the Chargie app and create an account
  2. Register the RFID tag in the app by going to Profile > Account > Manage RFIDs
  3. Tap the RFID tag on the station near the RFID symbol
